Who we are

The DVGW Berufliche Bildung provides training on the rules and regulations and the entire rang of topics in the gas and water industry - from the specialist to the management level. Every year, more then 30,000 participants succesfully complete the trainnig and qualification programme.

Who is DVGW?

The German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (abbreviated DVGW) is a technical and scientific association that supports the gas and water industry. Its main focus is on safety, hygiene and environmental protection. The DVGW is economically independent and politically neutral. It works closely with numerous European partners and is involved in international research collaborations. Due to its expertise in Germany, the DVGW is also an important player in shaping European and international standardization. The association creates generally recognized technical rules for these areas. 

DVGW and Siemens Energy

On 26 June 2024, DVGW and Siemens Energy officially sealed a partnership in Berlin for the development and implementation of H2 training programmes. The establishment of the H₂ Academy is based on mutual expertise and will enable the provision of specialised training concepts in the field of H2 technology.
